This Heritage Day, I am celebrating pride in this country, and being a South African, more than on any Heritage Day before. This country is so unique, steeped in interesting history, rich with diverse cultures and experiences, and strong in its democratic foundations. I wanted to write this article as part of celebrating SA, and chat about what I believe makes my home such a special place in this world.

I recently moved back to South Africa, with a new, extremely positive perspective, and a much greater appreciation for what I have here in SA.
